Made famous as the inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula, the seaside town of Whitby offers winding streets, quaint shops, a working harbour and fish and chips. Wander the sea front, view the museums or if you are feeling fit, climb the 199 steps to the Abbey overlooking the town.
